NEW: Maryland Gov. Wes Moore plans to shut down one of the state’s aging prisons in Jessup, moving inmates and staffers to other facilities rather than spending hundreds of millions of dollars on repairs.

💸 There’s a new financial forecast out, and for the first time in awhile, the news on the Maryland state government’s finances is non-terrible.

I was there today for an event marking the completion of a Verizon project, actually. Great cell service with Verizon. But I think it’s the kind of place where there’s great human interaction, even with working cell phones.
