Anyhow, hatred is bad for the soul, even if the people pushing the tech are doing evil. If SV psychos ever make real AI people instead of just glorified LLM autocomplete, they're totally going to abuse them and we're conditioned to be okay with that.

I can see the argument for "steak" but the idea that something other than beef can be a "burger" and something other than pork can be a "sausage" has long-since sailed. Those foods are defined by their form-factor not their ingredients.

FFS... a Beyond Meat is more deserving of the title of "burger" than non-beef meat burgers like chicken or salmon or turkey. They banning that too? Or is this just singling out vegetarians?

I mean I can see the argument for steak, but words like "burger" or "sausage" are more about form-factor.

Got tickets. $500 for a pair halfway up the first gallery at the far end of the arena. Didn't want to go full nosebleeds for NIN, but I'm not paying those insane floor-seat or front-row prices.

Leading cause-of-death in children in the USA last time I looked, although it's in a dead heat with firearms on that category. Kills twice as many American kids every year as cancer.

If you said "we cured cancer in kids" that would be a miracle... but places with safe streets basically did that.

Hah, as a kid I had a similar problem with mascot costumes. How tall is Mickey Mouse? I figured ~3 feet. You'd see the Disney cast-members in the costumes towering over kids and it just felt wrong.

Actually, even "pony sized" for MLP is still vague, ponies run the gamut & the characters are kids.
