Finally settled on a new design for Ava! I realized I had no idea how to render this, though, so I guess I know what to improve next.

My friend is writing a story, so I offered to draw some quick concepts of his characters. Given that I only had a few hours to draw, I’m pretty proud of how they turned out!

After drawing 5-6 expressions, I redrew Ava’s “base” expression. It’s small, but still validating to see improvements — especially after relatively little practice!

I like this hairstyle for Ava!
I probably won’t finish this: it feels flat, and I think I’d improve more by figuring out why and then starting fresh. I think it’s the perspective of the eyes and lack of exaggeration (going for a more animated style), but I’m open to feedback!

I’m scrounging together OCs for #artfight (profile coming soon); here’s a WIP of my VTuber concept! He’s a dragon who’s trying to learn about humans by diving into internet culture. This tends to result in a very “how do you do, fellow kids/humans” vibe.

I finished Ava’s Vroid model! This was a really fun way for me to explore 3D modeling with my limited free time, and I’m pretty proud of the results.

My wife and I just finished “Pantheon,” and boy was I surprised by a certain character: she and Ava are almost identical in both concept and design.
