Amazon delivery guy just pointed at the bucket of free apples at my gatepost and said, apropos of nothing, "these apples, best in village, tree must be very good, I try apples all over, these the best". So now I know why the bucket keeps emptying so quickly. He's right though.

This morning I turned on my phone only to find that it had changed my user name to Shirley, and when I tried to enter a simple Google query it came out as "Do you like gladiator movies?"

Life is too short to envy anyone anything. My advice (I know you didn't ask for it but I'm a man so why fight genetics?) is that the route to inner peace is: why do I envy them? Do I want that or what it represents? What do I want? Isn't it just to be happy?
