Jetzt verstehe ich was du meinst.

Too expensive 😉

Wait, you can get 3 Ririkas for one Kanade?
I'm a bit surprised the Midori one is even cheaper. I thought she had a bigger fanbase.

Christmas songs in September? That's a bit too early for me. 😂
Supermarkets start selling "Christmas foods" like Lebkuchen in September in Germany too.
Christmas Markets open on the first Weekend of Advent (late November) so that's usually the time you see trees popping up everywhere in public.
December 20, 2025 at 11:24 AM
Over here a lot of people don't start to set up the trees in their homes before 4th Sunday of Advent (especially if they use a real tree instead of a plastic one). In my familiy we would usually set up the tree 1-2 days prior to Christmas Eve. So I don't think you're late.

Ah, ok. Good to know in case I make it to Shimane some day.
The sign lists a few other places in the area. Did you visit them too?
So far I've only watched/read Saki from the same author, so I don't know much about this work.

The sign is a bit hard to read. Is it at Gōtsu Station?
December 13, 2025 at 8:53 AM
I'm a bit surprised the sign says nothing about not throwing a certain fast food stores mascot into the river. 🤣

Yes, they take care of Reinas TBDS. I think she is still there.

For now they will only stop using the old name after March 2027 because of the merger. "Nishinomiya Kurakuen Highschool" will continue to operate as a Prefectural Highschool there.
But if the number of students continues to decline, closure might be inevitable at some point.
November 20, 2025 at 10:52 PM
That being said, I hope the school will be used as a school for a long time. I'd rather not be able to visit (because it's an active school), than seeing it being closed or turned into a museum.

Don't rub salt into the wound. I'm already back home. 😭
I would have loved to go there but the anouncement came too late to change my travel plans.
It's not the same, but it will be fun to look at the photos posted by people who have a chance to go there next Sunday.
If they're open again, I'll go.

With the exception of Hanasaku Iroha Anime Tourism Association doesn't recognize those places as a "Seichi". That's why you didn't find a plaque or stamp for the other shows.
There are more criteria involved than just popularity of a show to get listed on their "animation spot 88" list.

The lady running the shop is not the youngest. I assume she operated it for quite some time now. I couldn't talk with her much, but "nakayoshi" describes the atmosphere there during my last visit pretty well. Lively, cheerful and everyone having a good time together. Like visiting a friend. :)

The shop is already there on Steetview images from 2014.
So it at least predates the broadcast of season 1. Not sure how popular the "Nakayoshikawa" duo was when the Eupho novels were released in Japan, but I would assume that the similar names are just coincidence.

They do have posters inside and if you visit at the right time of year, you can order the same food Osanai ordered in the show (tropical fruits parfait). They have an exchange notebook there too.

I guess only time will tell if this place will become a base for fans doing a pilgrimage or not.

With current anime where inducing "artificial" seichi junrei is a goal from the start, the line gets a bit blurry. Is a place a seichi because of marketing or because fans started gathering there?
One such place I visited recently is Natural Cafe in Gifu. It was used as a model for Shoshimin.

I've only been to Nakayoshi and Kaguya before. Can't believe I somehow overlooked Kiku all those years...

Nakayoshi has a Eupho corner at the entrance and the Natsuki Tobidashi outside.
I remember Kaguya had the mini character panels and some other goods on display.
