Well, here I am. It has been quite some time. I am still an Iñupiaq language professor who is still working on achieving full fluency. Such is the challenge of teaching/learning an endangered indigenous language. A practice I’ve taken up is doing at least part of my journaling in Iñupiaq.

I’ve been off-contract for a couple weeks now. This is the first summer that I won’t be working and it feels strange but also refreshing not having any obligations. #professorlife
