Means testing is often used as a means to deny the benefit to "them". Programs get harder and harder to qualify for as (usually conservative) gov'ts tweak the process, making it so the most vulnerable, who should get the benefit, don't. That's incompatible with the goals of UBI.

It's core of conservatism once again. There's an out-group that the law binds but does not protect, and there's an in-group that the law protects but does not bind. They've chosen their in-group.

Schumer has let us down enough times he's going to need to do more than say some big mad words get flowers from me. It's a step in the right direction, and I'll give him that much credit, but he's in a deep DEEP credibility hole.

It is also what allows the rest of the internet to work. Getting rid of 230 will only help the platforms you are trying to counter. Do not spread this misunderstanding of the powers at play! Your heart seems to be in the right place, but 230 is not the problem! Things would get WORSE without it!
