When one is surrounded by evil A Calvinistic goal is sought.

Canada and Mexico need to formally publicly announce and inform FIFA that they will accept all US based games in Canada and Mexico. I would expect the result will be financially equal or better for FIFA. It will be impossible to hold international matches during civil conflict.

The failure of logic is that one needs a sophisticated and complex effort to rig elections- I would expect that the same thuggish tactics will be used (as documented in multiple other international jurisdictions).

When your foreign policy is determined by who you can bully it’s unlikely you will target the strong enemies. He perceives Europe as weak from disunity whilst China is singularly focused and powerful. They have accepted China dominance - he’s now just after second place.

At the end of the day she can hide and be found wanting or take a position and shout out. When it’s all over she has to live with her cowardice

As an outsider it is obvious that the administration is lawless and evil. Whilst it’s nice to lay low and avoid attention, Whitmer (like all governors) should find some courage and loudly speak up about the corrupt and evil president, the lawless ICE and border agents, irrespective of the outcome

And a non politicised Supreme Court (High Court for us)

What the Westminster system does have is the absence of executive orders.

Activating the National Guard will lead to invoking of the insurrection act and the entry of military personnel. It’s not a straightforward solution. What should happen however is the Governor explaining the issue and consequences.

Alas the Europeans and Japanese hold the markers, though being an ex casino owner he knows that

It’s a free market - he goes in and shops for equities and they’re free to him. Why did everyone try to reinterpret his comments?

What the Danes definitely should not do is cede the land that is occupied by the space base to America. They do not need a bit of the US forever interfering in Greenland. A clear non-negotiable statement of danish sovereignty is the only option.

Whilst this is alarming for US science, what needs to be understood is that scientific research will continue elsewhere with this being equally applicable to the US. Blocking of scientific evidence from US research labs does not block knowledge and its consequences.

“suggests” this as a mistake?? Even someone with insight can’t state the obvious. Writing that letter confirms he is not presidential.

Again the democrats are being handed incredible marketing campaigns that confirm the lawlessness and corruption of the administration, and yet their strategists feel it is too contentious and can be manipulated to harm them. That argument is a failure of messaging and competence not content

It’s politically wise to get fully behind the EU on this to clearly and irrevocably set precedent. It also leads to a more morally just outcome.

Revisiting past errors prevents current coalitions of justice. This is not to tolerate or accept past injustice, but current criminality is more urgent

It’s the defining policy that has made them the most wealthy until NOW, when they have been beaten by China. And with that realisation, they have decided to change the rules and the game.

It’s rare to have the perfect storm but a sell down of IS bonds whilst the administration is directly antagonising and targeting the Fed would be one. It would also be the perfect time for Powell to resign in disgust.

This is no different from market recognition of a product or service that has failed to perform and deliver. 70-80% penetration is a marketers dream. We now have a GOP administration directly linked to a highly negatively perceived service (ICE) which is disconnected from immigration enforcement
January 21, 2026 at 1:48 PM
When an issue has a 70-80% penetration into the non-political population you have a singular opportunity to make use of it to radically change the conversation, to permanently highjack attitudes and understanding, to persuade even the most blinkered to respond. And yet we have dem leadership MIA.
January 21, 2026 at 1:43 PM
So are we going to be led by the swing voter or lead by policy. What “trends are going to figure out what opinions will be then” are determined by leadership facilitating the conversation. Neither voters nor politicians are passive players -issues can be made more voter relevant with reinforcement.

CIA involvement in South America can only be described as an unmitigated disaster - more of the same looks probable.
