The market implications of much bigger deficits are big positive, unless treasuries are impacted. If we see >5% on the 10 year, it will be market negative. Otherwise, punch bowls usually make for a lively party.

On the budget implications, I don’t think the administration cares about what is actually going to happen. They are assuming big revenue because that’s better math for their current purpose. Once they pass the bill, they don’t really care what happens.

My own take is that the market won’t care about tariffs from now on unless Trump starts to escalate again, throwing out huge percentage numbers. Or, the the economy starts to visibly slow.

And on foreign policy, the panel believes Trump has more sway with allies? Really? The "allies" see it plainly. They aren't allies going forward. Flattery is just a tactic. The US is weaker for Trump.
