Rapid antigen test (from drugstore) is positive as long as 9 days. A PCR test (run in a lab) is positive up to 90 days. We don’t “test for cure” at the hospital. When no fever you can get out and about after 5 days but mask a total of 10 days from symptom onset. The cough can last for weeks.
