What about artists that are just getting started. Producing a whole album properly with a master and everything would probably be quite expensive and take very long.

Why not get started more this way since it allows to lower the barriers of entry?

Ohh, yeah. Totally agree you don't have to be in tech at all to be a startup. Was more wondering what their spin on it was cause couldn't think of a spin on making normal boots on the spot.

That's fair, but to justify that outside funding there's gotta be something interesting they are doing. Would be interested in what that is.

What makes a company making boots a startup?

Genuinely interested if they have something interesting or just turn of phrase out of habit.

Is that really so bad though? Think about how you would show what you're working on to your friends or colleagues before launching it.

Now you just show it to the people that are gonna be the end consumers of it and see what their feedback is.

Better the demos be public than on some hard drive.

Startup typically implies that you're gonna take some outside money at some point.

With bootstrapped startups that has kind of gone to the way side.

Feel like nowdays people use startup if it doesn't have a proven PMF.

Freelance consultant -> new business
Hydrogen engine -> starup

I think the attitude to this was a cost benefit analysis.

Cost and time delay of actually carefully removing content vs settling a couple lawsuits here and there when it comes up.

And that's assuming that your average judge will understand enough about how it was trained to be a threat.

Have you seen the Tab that Avi is working on? I feel like that's a much better approach to this idea of AI wearable.

Can't imagine having the pin replace my phone cause I do work on my phone I couldn't really do just with voice. And it doesn't make sense as just a secondary device either.
