I'm lucky my blog is fairly new and not years old, but at the same time, I've only been active on it for roughly a month, before the moderation algorithm decided to hit me with a shadowban for... *checks notes* ...interacting with my friends in a collaborative writing hobby. Good job, bot. /sarcasm

Case in point: I was looking into at least registering a domain for my blog, but if *this* is what I can expect from support, should I have any issues? My social features are broken - I can't interact with other blogs - and it was out of the blue. No community guidelines were broken, or anything.

If a company accepts payments for "premium services", I expect professionalism from them, whether a user is a paying customer or not, because any user could be a paying one if they like the service enough. But having a bad support experience is likely to ensure one never chooses to pay for services.

I've sent two follow up emails, on days 3 & 7, asking for an update & resolution to the issue I'm having, because my blog hasn't been usable since last Saturday (I intentionally waited until Monday morning to file a support ticket). I've received no response whatsoever, & nothing is fixed.

Cable is available like half a mile up the road, on the other side of the creek, and has been since the 80s - they want a private homeowner to pay $1000+ to bring it across to the ever growing neighborhood. DSL was only made available here in ~2019, and even then it's the bottom of the barrel.

Hell, it took literally months to get the internet hooked up here, and then they only offered us 10/1, and have the audacity to charge an extra $30/mo for unlimited data over fucking DSL, on top of the quest ridiculously high rate for no more speed that we're getting.

I built the rig when I was still able to work, and when I lived where I had decent internet. Since then, my health has worsened drastically, & I had to move back near family, which means rural internet so slow I can't even livestream anymore.

I have hundreds of fics downloaded for this very event, and naturally practically none of them are in the rarepair tag I suddenly got hyperfixated on before the site went down - the only ones that are, I had already finished reading within the last 18 hours. Not sure I'm ready to reread them so soon

Naturally this happens when I get hyperfixated on a rarepair and have been working my way down the tag page sorted by word count... I already finished the ones I've downloaded, and didn't have time to download the one I was reading before the site went down.
