not in a bad way, it's actually meant to be more comical.

they're still stuck a few hundred years ago. clothing, songs, etc.

most elf influences are archaic - it'd be like us trying to converse with someone from 1600. or 1300.

for example, elves: they view humans with confusion. they try to protect them, but are baffled by how careless humans are.

you only have 80 or so years to live? why are you trying to make that number SHORTER?!

also, elves just end up being "out of touch" with shorter lived societies

In the background you see a freshly tilled field, a dark starry night, the large full moon rising over the horizon and some clouds/mist floating around. Jack-o-lantern mace This mace appears to be a carved pumpkin impaled on a wooden stake. Albeit spooky in looks, this mace holds the power to ward off evil spirits. Pale yellow light spills from the carved pumpkin, revealing more than meets the eye. Those that carry this can tempt fate to a game of chance, if they so choose… Attuning to this item grants the following: +2 to attack and damage rolls. On hit - 1d6 bludgeoning, plus 2d6 fire damage. This mace sheds bright light for 10 ft, and dim light for another 10 ft. Invisible creatures are revealed, when in the bright light. Undead creatures are dissuaded from attacking you - they must succeed in a Wis saving throw at the start of their turn (your dc) or attack at disadvantage. Trick or treat: You may tempt fate; choose another creature within 15ft of you. You both roll D20s, whomever get the higher gets a treat, and the lower gets a trick. The winner of the roll chooses for both. (you may use this feature a number of times per day equal to your prof bonus) Treats: Instantly heal an amount equal to your level+prof bonus. Gain 15ft of movement on your next turn. Gain advantage on your next attack. Gain the effects of a random helpful spell - Dm’s discretion. Gain the effects of a random helpful potion - Dm’s discretion. Tricks: Instantly take damage equal to your level+prof bonus. (cannot be negated in any way) Lose 15ft of movement on your next turn Have disadvantage on your next attack. Gain the effects of a random Harmful spell - Dm’s discretion. Gain the effects of a random harmful poison - Dm’s discretion.

Today, Freya experienced a sudden medical crisis. I found her lying limp and barely responsive. When we got her to the vet, her pulse, BP, and blood sugar were all dangerously low. Vet said if we'd waited an hour, she might not have survived.
