(You also need to refine a bit of your grasp of details on those examples but we can let it slide for social media.)

I have to get to a meeting, Rhine, but I hope these dozens of replies help you with context and that you will take advantage of my 7-days/wk office hours instead of stress-spiraling.

Those are all unique sources — imagine a city councilor actually engaging with their community and city employees.

Does that seem foreign to you and make you uncomfortable? It’s been a long time since our city officials worked that way.

Why black out Lemy Coffin’s name? Or the reply? Or the dozen others that were unanimously supportive?

The narrative only works when you cherrypick, doesn’t it. Why don’t you want Ward 3 to have representation?

That’s right — many members split b/c the endorsement process was replete with errors that the organization did not address.

This is what it looks like to hold allies accountable, not going along to get along. The best part is it led to a surge in organizing! That’s the value of authenticity.

Always!

As the Ward 3 councilor, I’m endorsing her opponent, Chris Stratton. Ward 6, we need you to vote for a change!

Councilor LaBarge says supportive things of her constituents but always votes in line with the mayor on policies that often contradict whatever she’s just said.

Chris is incorruptible.

You are just as deserving as any member of the public to have your voice heard, whoever you are! If this is where you communicate, I’m happy to meet you here.
August 23, 2025 at 7:32 PM
How can I accommodate your disability? I’m happy to.
August 23, 2025 at 7:31 PM
That’s right! That’s what happens when a councilor does their job.
August 23, 2025 at 7:28 PM
Don’t forget the salt: the city claims to be unable to prove any affordability requirements. Great PR though.
August 23, 2025 at 7:27 PM
Great question. Really sad to see public officials like our mayor and Councilor Elkins put their feelings above those of the community. A public servant should be able to do their job and set their ego aside.

Polish farming families do support Dan. Did you think they liked the fake progressivism that has been pushing them out of their community more? Hamp and Noho are aligned in understanding that the past couple decades of leadership have not served our community. Do you plan to ever engage them?

Northampton Needs Progressive Leadership - Dan For Mayor
Let's Lift Up The Future, Not Tear Down The Past. Let's overfund the schools, stop Picture Main Street, end the endless battles and get back to work fixing this city.

🔥🔥🔥 Love to see progressives holding each other accountable. Wish you would do the same for your mayor and six city councilors.
August 23, 2025 at 7:22 PM
That’s a city council candidate showing leadership skills. And by the way, I wholeheartedly endorse him for Ward 6 city council, for anyone who is reading along.

Curious to know what you believe constitutes debate. If you’re not engaging with the ideas people are putting forward and are simply dismissing them, you’re shutting down debate. If someone says something you disagree with, they’re not shutting down debate. Can you give some examples here?

How come the $300k from the tree mitigation fund is being held back from the Urban Forestry Commission by Misch? It’s not very persuasive when you just try to debunk people without doing your homework.
August 23, 2025 at 7:18 PM
Like Elizabeth Silver, yep.
August 23, 2025 at 7:17 PM
A public official is inexplicably engaging with the public? Again, I’m just wondering if you are okay.
August 23, 2025 at 7:17 PM
Dan. Easy peasy.
August 23, 2025 at 7:16 PM
This is what you’re bringing to try and prove that W3 is not the poorest ward?
August 23, 2025 at 7:16 PM
What do they have in common: a city government that has failed to act for decades. We’re supposed to give the mayor a free pass because they are owned by the same person we $3M to for a building we’ll never use?
August 23, 2025 at 7:14 PM
Sounds like you knew what venue he was referring to. Not sure what the issue is. Are you okay?
August 23, 2025 at 7:13 PM
How much is your home worth? I’ll take someone with means who stands up for low-income people over someone without means who stands up for corporations any day. Wouldn’t you?
August 23, 2025 at 7:12 PM
The entire community was left out. Undemocratic is what it is. And attacking a neighborhood that wants affordable housing instead of luxury housing tells us a lot about you. Slapping a “NIMBY” label on anyone who wants accountability and affordability is not a winning argument.
