So the tyre type (solid , all terrain etc)will be an extra on top( about £200) of the base price (usually 5k) but for quantum chairs you should be assessed and a price quoted based on the adaptions for your specific needs. I hope this makes sense!

And also help you figure out the right chair for your needs and useage. They were SO helpful with my new wheelchair saga !

Two things , I would highly recommend the Motability scheme for a powerchair, because like you say it's their responsibility but also you can upgrade etc(I would have gone this route if I didn't have a car already). also consider contacting access your life for help re funding1/2
