Ohhh okay. Yeah, that sounds like why you don't have trouble with dip pens but I do.

Thank you!!! I like color switching too but HATE cleaning pens so sometimes I just have a lot of pens inked. Right now not that many though, mostly with red Lustre. Already been through 6 ml and need to refill soon!

How do you use shimmer inks with dip pens? I find it harder than with fountain pens because shimmer settles. Do you shake it and uncap each stroke? A fountain pen you can just move gently in your hand to distribute shimmer.

I love shimmer inks and use them constantly without issue

That is totally valid.

Scented inks do exist! De atramentis has one that smells like horse, of all things, I believe. Also normal things, like roses. I have the rose one! And I have a diamine one ( cinnabun) that smells nice. Scented inks are all really wet though.

This brightened my day!

Mostly red Lustre from diamine in a few different pens for my journal. Hoping by focusing on just this ink I can go from 50 ml to 0 in 3 months. An experiment of sorts. A flex pen is definitely helping, lol, but also writing a lot!

I smudge occasionally on it but I tend to keep my palm in the air as I write and then when I rest it it's all dry

I'm a leftie and I write with the biggest nibs. Just blot it if need be!
