In our survey, 50% of the applicants indicated that this scholarship has helped them avoid skipping rent, food, & other essentials. 50% indicated that this scholarship has helped them take admission tests.

Many of these scholars experience multiple axes of marginalization: nearly half identify as BIPOC, and many live in countries where the costs of applying to grad school are several times the mean monthly income.
