Anytime I panic that I'm not being creative enough with my marketing or spending enough time on it, I remember that these are the kind of posts that get the most sales and traction for me, and they take about 0.3 seconds of thought before I post them.

My 14yo and my 12yo have begged their dad to teach them how to play bass, and this fills me with so much glee.

So we're still working our rears off to make sure my kids keep up with their ballet training. We're not as behind as we were! But fall classes are starting soon and pointe shoes are being run through faster than ever.

Tried out the larger pocket dragon pattern this morning and I think I am going to be obsessed with matching up dragon colors with spike colors. (There'll be more this weekend!)

This is the little bit darker purple with blue eyes (and these are the medium eyes, the lighter dragon had small eyes). I also have black, red, yellow/amber, green, and brown eyes to choose from.

Absolutely in love with the French copies of the Miss Percy series! They look like confections!

New gloves up in my etsy shop! These run a little smaller (they're modeled by my 15yo daughter, who has small-ish hands compared to me) and they have a lovely sparkle to them!

There. This one works. There are people and they do things and also they live in this house. At this point in the story.
The cottage they called home was not so much a house as it was a collection of architectural disagreements. The core of the original house consisted of a single bedroom and a kitchen that appeared to have both slowly sunk into the ground over time, as one had to step down to enter the house from the kitchen door. Over the years, several more rooms and an entire storey had been added, including but not limited to a sitting room (draughty), a bedroom (whose roof did not match the angle of the others), and a back corridor that appeared to have been stolen from a different house entirely. Despite all of this, it was theirs, rented from an absent landlord with a reputed fondness for brandy and a general abhorrence of social interaction, and with a roof — or roofs, as there was a wide variety of them for discussion — that only leaked in three places, which, by coastal cottage standards, was positively luxurious.
