To the best of my knowledge, labs are working on this in the US, various European countries, China, and elsewhere. Research is a highly international and collaborative profession, and US policies are affecting worldwide research and researchers. That said, I am not an expert on this topic.

Yes! Phage therapy shows promise as a cancer treatment due to its ability to target cancer cells, deliver therapeutic agents, and potentially stimulate antitumor immunity. However, it is still under research in order to prove efficacy and safety.

Using nanopore sequencing, a team led by @evamarianovoa.bsky.social has discovered different cancers have unique molecular ‘fingerprints’. The findings set the foundation for creating new, non-invasive diagnostic tests that detect the disease faster and earlier than currently possible.
