CONGRATULATIONS from NYC! 🥂🥳🫶🗽That's awesome! If this is your first Christmas together, you can buy the new Lego Enterprise-D & assemble it, together! (not the most romantic, but fun & Trek 🖖🏾) You have great on-line chemistry together - how fortunate it translated in real life!😃

I have to disagree with you, Craig. I don't think Elinor could carry a show, as Rios could. A Stargazer show was right there in front of them. A different type of Captain. A forward-going time period. Elinor is a fascinating, underused character for sure, but Rios would have been 1st Hispanic Lead.🖖🏾

Assuming Birnham was even from same timeline as TOS, she was "scrubbed" from Starfleet records. As for Sybok, we don't know if Sarek considered him a "legitimate" son & may not have been known about by Starfleet.

Not at the time when TOS was written.

So, the question is: do the Romulan incursions make SNW an alternate timeline from TOS (which to me, is the simplest explanation of why there are so many inconsistencies)?
SNW fans argue that it's not, as if saying it was, would somehow lessen its validity/importance.
Thoughts?🤔
