This was very different from what I expect from Cyndi Lauper. It feels like she's trying to fit in with songwriters of the era. It's got Tori Amos vibes at times. It's a good album just not the quirky Cyndi from the 80s.

It's a great album and at the time of release the group was on their way up but does feel like a gamble for the label to do an MD. Happy that they did though.
