He could have hit your window and was stunned. After a rest in a warm and darkened space, you can bring him out in his box and see if he flies away. If he cannot fly after that, then definitely find a wildlife rehabber.

Looks like a purple or house finch but I'm not sure. Depends on where this is. Either way, they would eat seed. Black oil sunflowers are a good one for their high fat content.
