“Trans ideology” has been bloated by conservatives with their wet dreams and fantasies of them “grooming children”, and “being mass shooters.”

I'm pretty sure they're using the report of the shooter's name changing history to immediately determine the shooter is trans, which literally is not a trans-exclusive thing to do.

While true, mental illness also needs to be addressed when purchasing guns, the issue here is that conservatives try to pull out anything out of their ass to blame gender dysphoria for this.
They don't even know what gender dysphoria is. They think it's more "shooter dysphoria."
