What is it that makes some people insist that NOW (our moment in time) is the end of history, and it's NORMAL, not like all those catastrophic times in the past, and that we can therefore turn off our brains and go on autopilot? Too many never read the books or watched the films or thought about it.

"Getting handsy" is an old time, traditional euphemism for sexual assault and harassment. It's usually followed by "boys will be boys" and then nothing, putting the onus on girls and women to defend themselves indirectly with no societal support.

Immigrants: a great source of U.S. citizens! The United States is made better by the aspirations of people from all over the world to come and participate in a multi-racial, multi-ethnic, secular democracy that has religious freedom, free speech, the rule of law, and justice for all. Let's keep it.
