Drives me mad.
Walked past a group of elderly ladies yesterday who were talking about the flu issue. One said she would take her chances as she wasn't going to wear a mask but didn't want to stay at home. I had mask on so made the point of walking close by!

We are very lucky here - all the delivery drivers are very good and do their best on our dark country lanes. I imagine it's a hugely stressful job.

Morning. Wet & mild out there.
Sherborne very disappointing - was there at 9am but fave shops didn't open until 10 or 11am!! Madness. So didn't bother!!

Got there at 9am so it wouldn't be busy. BUT all the shops I wanted to visit were closed - don't open till 10 or 11am. 2 weeks before Xmas! So I came home!

Sadly, most of the shops don't open until 10 or 11am!! Especially the ones I wanted to visit. I was there at 9am.
For such a nice little town, it wasn't very festive & I couldn't do any shopping!!

Last year, visiting aunt in care home, a donkey & baby goat were being taken around!! Was definitely a surprise🤣🤣

Morning. Chillier & dry out there.
Heading out to Sherborne for quick festive shopping - few last pressies to find.
Last bit of Xmas decorating & a garden forage to find stuff for door wreath.
Last episode (again) of Neighbours to watch.
Have a fab day all. Xmas day 2 weeks today!!❤️❤️

They need it. Fleeces are so underpriced - not as valued as they were for wool industry.

The strulch actually worked quite well. Didn't stop most weeds bit they were weaker, even the bindweed, so easier to pull up. Suspect a thicker layer will work better. Sheep's fleeces used a lot now for mulch. Especially for dahlias- instead of digging up tubers, cover with fleece.

Morning. Dry but weirdly mild out there.
Water bill - doubled thanks to lack of summer rain & needs of flowers. Must store more water.
Garden tidying today. Plus manure & compost onto flower beds.
Have a fab day all❤️❤️
