.....where does the jury pool come from? I can't imagine you get a dozen normal folks NYC adjacent to go along with this.

Years down the road I guess and he'll be dead or we'll be North Korean by that point.

This was my elaborate plan to get you to take a break.

That's my current one. Was also going to add puzzmo if you like crosswords and would like some not written by staid old newspaper folk.

I kind of love that five thirty eight . com now just goes to a generic ABC politics page.

I'm big on letting people come back from making bad choices but not doing something about them before running for Senate is terminal Bad Judgement.

Heck, proudly having those tattoos blacked out and talking about how it is so you never forget mistakes you're trying to set right could be a PR win.

They'd have to find some funny Conservative writers somewhere.

Unless they're just looking for some of that good old DEI?

What's weirder? That we have a government official professing faith in Valhalla or that Kash Patel somehow thinks he's gonna end up there.

I've moved over to Puzzmo for crosswords. It's neat to get the opposite experience of thinking an answer is too geeky or niche only to find out it is exactly right.

The two dolls blocking the exits was my first big "Yeah, I'd leave here" moment. The tub doll picture makes me wonder if I just put myself into a Ring situation.

Danial Abraham (Half of James S A Corey) would be my top pick. He worked with Martin on a bunch of things and has written politically fraught fantasy a couple times in The Dagger and The Coin books and the fantastic Long Price Quartet.

I come at this from a local performance background where "community" is a lot less parasocial than for AP. Thinking about how that could go in AP definitely gives me pause.

Either way, both reasons apply. I do expect the importance and motivational value is going to vary by context.

I can definitely see both benefiting from the lesson. Taking joy in fellow players or performers success should be emphasized in each community as a bedrock obligation.

They also already bottle 2 liters of sugar based Coke around Passover every year. Wegmans has it for me locally but I imagine other places with significant Jewish populations would also see it around.

Five months on and I finally got around to reading the first book and finished late last night. I currently hate you. That ending is a gut punch. A gut punch I couldn't put down until it was over with.

I'll be back to loving you shortly I don't doubt but I'm staying wary of this MIra person.

Thank you for perfectly expressing both my admiration for them both and my revulsion.

I heard there was a secret ooze
It turned four turtles into dudes
But you don't really care for pizza, do ya?

They fought like this,
Two swords, a stick
A couple sai
Some nunchuck tricks
Those Ninja boys-a callin

They've been trying for going on 15+ years now. I wish them luck, but they sure seem to be Mr Beaning themselves into continuing.

There are strong similarities between Harrow and Monster and I'm curious which you think works better. You're reading them in the opposite order I did and I think that may have impacted my opinion.

It's a buffalo wing pizza named after the original name of the stadium the Bills play in. I don't get the Star Trek connection if there is one.

First cynical take: the 13 year old boys grew up.

...and didn't stop playing. What seems cool is very different when you're 13 than when you're 40.

D&D's first bloom being in the 80's probably didn't help the mercenary attitudes though.
