I’m a quizzer, not a fighter.
It’s a shame no-one told Gillian Anderson that the truth is out there.

I have been buying Now That’s What I Call Music CDs from charity shops. They’ve done about three a year for the last few decades, forty or so tracks on each. Let me tell you; there aren’t 120 tracks in a year worth listening to. Not a ‘pop music these days’ thing. Always been the case.

WH Smiths, alias Jones.

“TG Jones” sounds like something a ‘brand consultant’ has thought up in return for a seven figure sum.

Post a fictional character who you think would be an antivaxxer.

Hard mode. No villains.

Will no-one spare a thought for this guy?

It’s fine to call it Twitter. Elon deadnames his own kid.

I have been buying Now compilations from charity shops. Three a year for forty+ years, 40+ tracks on each. Revelation: there aren’t 120 chart tracks per year worth listening to. This is not a gripe against ‘music these days’ - it’s always been the case.

Tonight’s #TOTP was brought to you by Professor Brian Cox, the presenter of Desert Island Discs and someone who wrote Toxic after splitting up with the Supervet.

This Traitors Uncloaked is in the BBC Theatre. They are on the stage I’ve had some of my best moments quizzing.

I was in Harrogate this morning. People were leaving a church, I thought to myself ‘That looks like a funeral’. One of the mourners looked familiar.

It was the Prime Minister.

His brother’s funeral.

I’m glad I wasn’t uncouth enough to take a picture.

Second night running, Claudia has called on Charlotte’s vote last, and second night running she’s thrown a fellow traitor under the bus. I wonder if the faithful’s will catch on. #Traitors

Funny how these ‘free speech warriors’ get lawyered up as soon as you say something they don’t like, innit.
January 9, 2025 at 7:23 PM
As a lawyer, I’m sure Keir Starmer will be only too happy to educate Liz Truss about the case of Pressdram v Arkell.

This, by the way, is what I got for Beating the Brains (narrowly) on Radio 4 yesterday afternoon, and now on Sounds.

Important to stress that Urfan Sharif hasn’t been sentenced to forty years in prison, but life. Even if he is ever allowed out (and he’ll be at least 83 by then), it will be under licence, supervised and subject to recall at any time, for any reason.

Steven Bartlett, a charlatan? Who saw that coming?

There’s a chap on #Pointless who I’m fairly sure fell off a diving board in Guernsey… #dinnerladies

The American healthcare system isn’t all bad. Breaking Bad wouldn’t have been nearly as good if set in the UK.

I think I’ve worked out what Liz Truss is doing nowadays. PR for Gregg Wallace.
