I'm now a chook foster grandpappy, Chook Chook who's been using my backyard for a nesting site (neighbour's chook) has finally hatched a chicken or two. All currently hiding under Chook Chook so no photos yet.

I love country town parades, the local one is quite big with horses, cattle, marching bands, semi's doing 7 point turns on the main street with piles of kids on the trailer, very much an every man & his dog.

Another local parade features sheep in red wooly socks.

I've met people who claim to be descendants of Mary & Fred (one was the CEO of an Aboriginal corp in the Hunter - unfortunately now deceased), also have a mate who claims to be a descendant of Fred's brother (& that "Uncle Fred isn't buried in Uralla").

The "Shooters Party' as it was originally known in NSW only added Fishers & Farmers to increase their electoral appeal.

The "Fishers" are hardly better, as someone who had to clean up after "recreational fishers" I came to regard the "I fish & I vote" to be more a resume than a political statement
