‼️I'M GETTING SURGERY‼️

On Thursday, I'm getting surgery to remove a lot of bone & tissue from my nose & sinuses. I will be unable to work/look down for at minimum 2 weeks.

I'll be trying to do as much work as I can before then! :3

Pls give me your fav soup & soft food recipes...

Out of the office: october 2nd thru the 16th for surgery & recovery. I'm getting a rather involved sinus + nose surgery.

Honestly, it was not bad for me! I took a tramadol beforehand, and my dr used some numbing meds before she took them out and I barely felt it. Worlds better than feeling the stitches in my nose all week tbh!!!

I can breathe fully out of both of my nostrils for the first time in my life... Amazing! Supposedly my sense of smell will come back with time too :)

I havent had allergy symptoms, no sinus infection symptoms, no headaches, nothing!!! Literally life changing in just a week.

I got my splints out today!!!!!!

I honestly feel 100% better :) its amazing what surgery can do! I 💕 modern medicine!!!!

I still have to be careful about not having my head down for nosebleed reasons, but I'm gonna start easing myself back into drawing since I've really missed doing it!!

For anyone that uses Neocities, sharing this from the Fediverse. It looks like if you've got adult content on there, potentially discuss said content, or even just us it for your art gallery... You might want to download your full website and be ready to move just in case...

I want to protect NSFW artists (emphasis on "art"), but if it becomes legally dangerous to do that we won't be able to host that content anymore. I wish I had a better answer for you, I'm as bamboozled by how crazy everything is getting as everybody else is. If the US starts saying we need to check people's drivers licenses to look at an illustration of a furry or whatever we'll have to make changes to deal with that.

We've not always been okay with hosting NSFW content. We don't (have never) envisioned Neocities as a porn hosting platform, and regularly take down sites trying to do this.

I'm working on a new terms of service that will clarify more of this in the near future. In a lot of ways it actually increases what is allowed to be put on a neocities site and increases clarity, but I'll probably get screamed at for it either way. Not looking forward to it.

Weird side effect (but its normal, i asked), is that my top teeth & lip are numb, so it makes it really difficult to eat... Ice cream is a godsend though now that my tummy has finally settled after the anesthesia.
