The books themselves were 800 yen... Cheap as heck. I'm looking at paying... I don't wanna even do the math on how many times more for shipping. It's quite sad.

Take this as a sign to watch Xena if you haven't already. Got lucky and went through the whole series on VHS and it was a DELIGHT.
Heck, halfway through the series they introduce a category of episode that's just "Lady villain falls in love with Gabby and tries to steal her from Xena." Also they raise multiple kids (and Joxer) together.
