But to answer the questions:
- Actually ride the route at the time of day you'll lead it and stop to consider stuff that will be hard with a group
- Beyond a few people, have a sweep that you trust and has your phone number
- Have a plan to make sure a hiccup doesn't turn into something worse

Definitely on the "heavy" side of things but Cascade has a doc that's at least a good starting point: cbc-drupal-assets.s3.amazonaws.com/Cascade%20Bi...

Yep, it has happened on at least a couple sections I'm aware of due to bollards being removed. There's photos on the Eastside Urbanism discord.

On a desktop/laptop, right click on the map, "report a data problem", then "add or fix a road". Shows you at least the road grid!

Yeah, they're ingesting it from somewhere.

But *anyone* can add a road to Google maps.

Just not a bike lane (or a sidewalk).

Bizarrely, Google maps has no way to edit their bike lane data. I tried adding some brand new, protected bike lanes in my city and the edits were rejected with no explanation.

Prior years have focused on being eco-friendly and these fake stone panels appear to be made from coconut fiber so might be biodegradable
