Happy Statehood Day, Minnesota!

This one hits hard, but it’s so true, I’m proud to be a middle school teacher.

As a middle school teacher this hits home, especially as spring break is about to start.

Good morning, Stillwater! It’s time to be patient, Public Works is out doing their best to clean this mess up, it will take some time. While you wait, please help your neighbors out if you can. Be careful though, the snow is heavy. Don’t forget to show your fire hydrant some love and uncover it.

Happy Lori Houston Day in the City of Stillwater! Lori is one of the nicest people you will ever meet. The library won’t be the same without her. I wish her all the best in retirement!

Why are ketchup potato chips not a thing in the US? My last bag is now gone. I’m going to have to plan a summer road trip.

Today was the annual gingerbread competition between the city councils of Stillwater, OPH, and Bayport. Administrator Kohlmann joined Councilmember Polehna and I to represent Stillwater. Our creation is the gingerbread version of the Chestnut Street Plaza.

As a history teacher I believe it’s so important for kids to have an understanding of current events. Thank you Carl Azuz for being a class act and being part of my class for so many years. Thursday was a memorable day.

This is always one of my favorite events in Stillwater. Thank you to all who help make this possible. There were so many smiling faces tonight and the weather was outstanding!

This is the best tradition for the day after Thanksgiving! Thank you Stillwater Fire Department and Bayport Fire Department.

FYI: The turkey tastes just as good with the tree up. Happy Thanksgiving!
