(For the sake of the joke pretend the profile picture is a badger because I identify with the stance of that meerkat way too much)
I feel like that's a good approach, honestly, even printing online models on request seems reasonable, it's more that I saw an offer for an already done print that I find weird, that kinda just feels like opening a print shop with the selling point being that you can buy an image printed off google

That's possible, if there is a thing I'm good at it's underpricing myself so I'm almost definitely looking at it through that lens, I might also be looking at this from an artistic point of view, where selling prints of purchased models feels off, like not illegal, just the art tracing kind of wrong

Yeah I understand labor costs, I made sure to include barely sanded in the original post, barely post processed didn't fit with the character limit. I don't mean to throw shade on 3d printing businesses but offering models like that feels off, like keep in mind it was just for sale, not on request

Out of the two I feel like clay would be more forgiving since you know, if I remove too much, I can just slap more on, I guess I'll just try to add more internal support and I'll go back to having aluminium foil on top of the cardboard, I don't know how yet but I will keep trying untill I succeed

Ah my problem is the budget, I live in an area where natural clay is really abundant, and I'm kinda choosing to save cash over labor by getting it from the ground myself. From my extremely limited knowledge I can agree that polymer would probably be the way to go if budget wasn't an issue

Thanks for the reply, to clarify what I'm trying to do, I'm trying to sculpt it so I can make a mold of it for fiberglassing, I'm not going to be firing it or anything, I just need it to hold it's shape for a while and then I'm going to recycle the clay, do you still think that'll fail?
