Seems like a case of weaponised incompetence.

I'm not going to reply to everything. What I'll say is that people shouldn't hate the police in general. But there's just no way to work around that this particular one should be prosecuted, not protected.

I find no justification for his actions, and not acting just invites this happening again.

I want to be really clear here. Conflicting orders, or coherent ones don't change matters at all. Trying to drive away is a crime (I assume), the police should be dealing with later. Not shooting at the unarmed occupant, when it is happening.

They had video of her, the car and the license plate.
January 13, 2026 at 2:08 PM
I think this was my immediate thought.

In any other time or place, deploying tear gas in such a busy public place, when there's no active protest and no laws being broken and then driving off, would get you in a lot of trouble.

He was not going to die. He could have moved, he DID move. He just moved after shooting her. Then fired twice more after moving clear. There's just no justification here that I can even believe to fathom.
January 13, 2026 at 9:43 AM
I'm really not sure what you're seeing. After you've seen all the videos from all the angles it's really quite clear. He walks around the car. She is pleasant, if a little cheeky.

She receives conflicting orders (listen carefully)

When he has the option to move, he draws a gun, and uses it 3 times

Yeah but then they get to do it to the next batch. It's the circle of life.

You see. Here's the thing. I'm not a leftist. I generally don't comment on issues that are left/right.

Guess what, this shouldn't be a left/right issue. This should be something every person can agree on. That you shouldn't expect to die just from driving away from police.
January 12, 2026 at 7:39 PM
I think you misunderstood the issue. It's not about what I would do in the same situation. It's what conduct I expect from people whose job is to protect, and are armed to do so.

I expect someone charged with a weapon to show suitable restraint in its use.
January 12, 2026 at 7:37 PM
So. Not a US citizen. But I'm pretty sure police aren't given guns to kill people that simply don't obey their orders. It's just a good job I know you don't speak for all Americans.

It's pure mental gymnastics to justify this killing, because she didn't do as she was told. That's a slippery slope.
January 12, 2026 at 7:21 PM
Most people aren't believing people, they're believing the multiple videos. Those together show a very clear course of events.

Drive baby drive is subjective, you've interpreted it to mean something negative. I'm seeing it more a call to get away from what was a very dangerous situation.
January 12, 2026 at 7:44 AM
I suspect it's more likely they watched the agent pov video and are believing what the us admin say happened.
January 11, 2026 at 2:12 PM
You can see it clear in this video. He's already at the extreme edge of the path. He moves more out of the path while drawing the gun. To me it's clear it was to intimidate and force them out. Fires once than moves out of the path and fires more.

He was never under threat.

The UN/ICC can only take action with the help of member countries. There's no country or group of countries that can impose any legal action against the US.

What you should be asking is, at what point does your opposition political party take action? Only the USA can fix these problems.

It's never lupus. But it's sometimes DNS.

Not sure AI is the same. In the mid 90s when the Internet was becoming a thing for consumers, there was almost zero corporate interest. It was a fad to them. It was around 2000 they suddenly got interested. You know the start of the .com bubble. AI has been jumped on too early en-masse in my opinion

Add a cron job that runs every 584942416 years to reboot. Likely in 584942415 years they will add SDL_GetTicks128() to solve this.

I spent time getting the windows TCP/IP stack in WfW to work on top of the DOS drivers (needed for Netware at the time). Why? So we could play Hearts over the network in the office of course!

I suspect they don't support 60fps at all. So the 60fps becomes just 30fps of one colour. 30fps is probably too slow to really see the effect.

Seems the rules on receivers on board are a bit mixed. I know previously they were disallowed, I assume because of the oscillators in single/double conversion repeaters.

I'd argue there's a lot more emissions from a laptop than from a radio receiver. An SDR also I think only has 1 oscillator. YMMV.
July 17, 2025 at 10:51 AM
Well, a phone transmits as well as receives and can transmit considerably above the limit for low power data emissions allowed on a plane.
July 17, 2025 at 10:49 AM
The thing is, a long long time ago it was cheaper to get your phone as part of your phone plan (at least here in the UK it was).

It was also true when smartphones first appeared. But, right now it is certainly not. It's actually cheaper I found to buy the phone direct, and it's already unlocked.
