You'd have to test every bone, because you couldn't risk anyone claiming there were bones left undated....

1. A snippet from a Richard III Society (UK) FB post on 16 Nov: When attempting DNA matching, you need uncontaminated samples .... The bones, unfortunately, are hopelessly contaminated. They were accidentally dug up in 1674 from a depth of 10 feet...by workmen who threw them on a rubbish heap.
