I’m humbled by every last fan I’ve made in my nearly five years of being an artist online, I just recognize chasing being the next big thing is not what I want to do with my time, at least not anymore.

That being said, I might still keep these accounts around to post when I feel like it, it’s just that my friends will be my main audience from hereon.

I don’t find the bid for internet validation fun, it’s toxic for my health and stifles my creativity, and to put it simply, I want to go back to when I was just making doodles for my friends on Discord and experimenting with what I drew rather than making what would get the most attention.

I want to revisit this sketch later, as for tomorrow I will be working on my next big art piece, a follow-up to the Renamon art I made last year made with all the newer techniques I’ve taught myself since then

I’d been working on and off on this piece since late last December, and having finished it today I feel quite accomplished: it’s meant to meld the styles of both the 1967 cartoon and the 2008 movie, and I feel I managed to pull it off quite well.

To show what I’ve been working on, this is the rough WIP of the art I had in mind today, I will pick it up again later, but for now I want to make something else for the sake of my sanity:

I want to make something grungy that’d be right at home on old Newgrounds, just anything that comes to mind to draw, and if it doesn’t turn out too raunchy I’ll post it here when it’s done tomorrow, then I’ll take the weekend to recharge

My issue is that I’m getting burnt out again and it’s starting to affect both my art’s quality and how I perceive my work as a whole, I want to make something I know I’ll have a lot of real fun working before taking a break for a couple of days and going back to working on commissions
