Another book from S2S Literature! The art was so different from the other book, “How the Stars Came to Be” but was truly awe inspiring.

The author’s note discussed the history of the Indigenous communities in the United States. While heartbreaking, it led to a great conversation with my 8 year old.

Some people have wine cellars.......I have a picture book hoard. It’s a special interest, not an addiction—branding matters.

Our read aloud today blew me away! This is one of the most gorgeous books I’ve ever read!

Tomorrow we’ll be comparing it to The Star People: A Lakota Story by S.D. Nelson

Bodily autonomy is a core parenting value of mine, but that doesn’t mean it’s easy.

Today my 5 year old afab child wanted a fully shaved hairstyle. They have iconic curls and watching them fall was hard.

It’s not my hair, it’s not my body, they get to make the decision.
