Ours did a relay race where the car with the fastest time was paired with the slowest, the second fastest with the second slowest etc. Each car did 8 laps. I have never giggled so hard — a Lamborghini Huracan and a plain Jane Mini (not even an S) as teammates. Spoiler: they didn’t win.

Typo fun in Vancouver! I had no idea that slithery raccoons were a thing.

Handwritten telephone pole sign at East Hastings and Victoria reads: “Dog owners and friends Please be careful! There are viscous raccoons in the neighbourhood that may attack dogs and their person(s). Stay safe, avoid night walks + dark bushes.”

Not surprised. When NASA was running the 25 Hours of Thunderhill I volunteered as a marshal, thinking that 10+ years of Le Mans might be useful. Their response: how could a female possibly know enough to participate? It was fun to turn them down when they changed their mind at the last minute.

I recall my engineer father using a Curta for calculations while building race engines and gearboxes when I was a child. I am proud to have one of the two he owned.
