Hi Mark, people use X because:
A. they don't trust the BBC anymore- & other conventional outlets
B. they don't understand how Social media works, nor that there are other platforms
C. X plays into their prejudices - such as racism - and allows them to 'find their community'

While May's local elections will be dramatic, they say little about the next GE. Starmer will survive. Baddenoch will be gone. Farage, likely a traitor? That's going to be interesting.

- the most outlandish of all possible outcomes, as "the most likely one" - ie the crowing of Farage as PM.

This is a ludicrous conclusion, (I won't be betting on this), similar the the narrative that Putin is promoting of Russia's military threat to wider war in Europe -

The issue with being led by data 4 years ahead of a general election, when the data has been collected to reflect current "attitudes to voting" rather than actual voting records, is it's at best, a fairly loose correlation.
What is dangerous, is the repeated sharing of data that reflects -

I'm not sure we are all here expecting to change minds, but if we leave the space bare it will be filled with evil.

We have to demonstrate that something better is possible. And we do this by sharing hope online and countering hate.

Our collaboration ended in a gagging order, when we complained about the BBC's refusal to broadcast damning evidence of racism in one of the UK's high-street department stores. White-collar racism wasn't "the right target". Only badly educated poor people are racist, according to BBC.

I don't want to get into nasty arguments over this, especially with people who already know my views. But they will raise this, because they want me to make it OK. No. It is not OK. I won't help you to feel OK.
