Now I know it doesn’t always work as it should, but today I am truly grateful for our health and care system in England. After family member found on the floor by carer, the organisation, delivery and compassion of care agency staff, ambulance service and primary care was exceptional. Thank you.

I finished reading Wendy Mitchell’s beautiful book ‘Somebody I Used to Know’. I wish it had been there to read all those years ago when I trained as a nurse. I wanted to thank her, but so sad not to be able to. She would be pleased to know the Assisted Dying agenda is progressing though.

For anyone who doesn't know already, I spend a lot of time talking about SAS doctors.
SAS doctors exist in the UK healthcare system as folks who aren't in formal training programmes, and who aren't usually consultants or GPs.
