The whiplash and Trump's intervention feels so grubby. A super cynical ploy so that Trump can be the saviour... even after he called for a ban.

Like an arsonist putting out a fire they started, Donald Trump is promising to stall the TikTok ban in the U.S.
While so many are desperate for it to return I'd be very careful what you wish for.
Trump’s TikTok will not be ByteDance’s TikTok. Any deal will benefit him and further his goals.

TikTok hasn’t just shut down access in the U.S. they’ve blocked all U.S. registered accounts. I can’t get into my account even though I’m in the U.K. and have the TikTok app downloaded from the U.K. App Store on a U.K. iPhone. Also can’t access from a browser 💔

what some miss about TikTok is that its fans trust it implicitly because the content experience makes them feel seen and connects them to likeminded people. they know their data is being exploited but it's a trade they're more than willing to make #tiktokban
