I work out in the suburbs and I would rather live downtown where I can walk to everything else I do, even though it's an hour commute to work by bus. But I really miss being able to walk to work.

Today felt so weird at work, I actually forgot it was a Friday until someone said something as they were leaving.

Last year I decided to leave the icicle lights around my window up all year and it was an excellent decision - I think I plugged them in every night, even in summer. And then traded them out for coloured icicle lights over Christmas. But back to the clear ones today.

So for 2026, I'll dive into those books I added in 2016 (after a weed to make sure I'm still interested), do A-L new-to-me authors with multiple books on my tbr, and also I want to read more romance. Plus book club books and titles I can't resist. Yay reading! 6/6

Basically I was making those authors justify taking up multiple spots on the tbr. And that was great - I did authors M-Z, read some fantastic books, and got to remove a few things where I wasn't excited to read more from that author. Very satisfying. 5/

I finished those much earlier in the year than I expected so I had to pick a new plan. I ended up reading books from my tbr where I had multiple books by the same author but I hadn't read anything by that author yet. 4/

Most of them were fine but not great, so I think I could do with being a bit pickier about whether I still want to read books that have been on my tbr that long. I did have a few great ones, though! 3/

This past year, along with book club books and things that caught my eye, I read or removed everything I added to my tbr in 2015. Not hanging on to anything more than 10 years! 2/
