How To Kill A Witch takes us to Scotland during the reign of King James VI, a time marked by fear and the relentless hunt for women accused of witchcraft.
Tortured confessions, biased laws, and fear-fueled accusations claimed so many lives.

Belle Gunness is a woman of grim legend.
A fantastic read. Highly recommended if you want the full anatomy of a case so unbelievable, it reads like fiction.

This is hands down one of the most fascinating reads. I learned so much about the female sex I had no idea about. I will definitely research more into topics, although Cat explored each with such colorful depth, there is still so much more I have questions for now.

A fascinating collection of topics, each one worth their own independent study. From decaying bodies to peeing in the pool, swallowing slugs, and psychopathic behavior.

Finished this #TheAngelMakers this morning. I wanted to like this book and parts of it were wonderful. I think if I were more inclined to reading fiction I wouldn’t have minded when the book read like a novel instead of historical #nonfiction. I lost interest in the additional fluff. #booksky

Finished this morning. One woman's exhaustive fight to get men and authority figures to see sexual assault as a valid crime, to take victim's testimonies seriously, and to provide as many paths as possible for survivors to seek the help they need. Fantastic read.

Fascinating read about the history of the “lie detector test”. Bought my copy immediately after reading it from @theyakimabookco.

The political agendas of inventors can also continue to influence us long after the inventors themselves are dead. Robert Moses molded much of New York City and its environs into the shape he imagined, designing highways, parks, bridges, and playgrounds.

Finished All That Is Wicked. While the book was good Rulloff wasn’t horribly impressive. I’m surprised he fooled so many people and earned so much credit for being a genius. His brain is still on display but I’m over it. #AllThatIsWicked #2025Books
