ABC was just as bad,.if not worse. 5 laps of racing followed by 5 minutes of commercials. Rinse, lather, repeat. When the networks pay huge dollars for the broadcast rights they have to make the money back somehow. 500 is probably the only race that attracts casual fans of the series.
