The Ocean Remembers

The ocean does not rage in haste, but carves with time what greed defaced. It swallows plastic, rusts the steel, then births a reef where wounds can heal.

Its tides reclaim what we betray salt justice in a moonlit sway. No court, no human hand can match the ocean’s reprimand.

This is Tacoma, Washington along the Foss Waterway near the Museum of Glass. Cities give us so much culture and beauty along with the amazing examples of engineering and commerce.

Seattle has been described as unsafe and lawless where you take your life into jeopardy in the city. I've spent several days there and have not witnessed anything that made me feel unsafe. I think those who try to paint urban areas in fearful words are not telling the truth about these places.

My dog and I travelled down to Portland, Oregon to assess the situation there since our country's leader described it as war torn and ravaged with fires burning down the core of the city. We found nothing like that all day while checking the entire are out. I think he lied to us!
