Jupiter at opposition last night. Stack of the best 300 of 3000 images (100 each of red, green, blue). Moons left-to-right are Io, Europa, and Ganymede. 8-inch SCT telescope with 2.5x Powermate, ASI174MM mono camera with 200 gain and 10ms exposure. Sharpened and color-balanced to taste in Photoshop

Polar Bears! My wife and I took a trip to Churchill, Manitoba. The bears gather there every fall, waiting for the sea ice to form so they can go hunt seals. Sadly, the ice-free season is lengthening with climate change, endangering this population. More photos at photos.app.goo.gl/sdgpidnozybB...
