So, my iPhone lock screen can’t render the letter "a"?

My most generous take on these arguments is that these authors are utterly disillusioned with politicians and see individual virtue as the only viable option.

211 years today, Norway got its own constitution. May 17 is like The Purge but for patriotism. Take all the everyday patriotic symbols you see over the year in USA, and jam them into a single day. That day is today.

I have taken refuge in the mountains.

I know I’m getting old because I just got a new Mac and all I did was install the stuff I had on the old Mac.

I thought it was going to be a blogpost, but my todo list is enough.

Oh wait, there is one change: no docker, just finch.

Instead of simply disagreeing with @jayatillake.bsky.social about his implication that internal politics is ok in the public sector, let’s dive into some differences between private businesses and government, and what that means for employees. 🧵

You probably need to think about something else for a second, so here are some pictures I took this summer. Gdansk, the forest and the mountains.

I think American chopper kind of worked. The heavy drinking didn't fit well though, so I made a tweak in v2.

Drafting my talk on development environments. Naturally I included @cmastication.bsky.social's old classic. Just wondering if there is a meme format that fits?

Not picking on anyone (this was just a convenient example), but we really need the those AI copyright cases to ascend the judicial system soon so that we can know if it is copyright infringement or not.

Argentinian poverty rate above 50% brings out my need to ask which definition of poverty they use. The OECD definition, which is often used up here, can’t even pass 50%.

I am a little surprised by the reception of the recent books about constitutional change - pretty serious legal scholars are coming out hard against the idea.

From the outside, treating and interpreting the constitution like a bible seems weird.

Maybe bsky can also roll out an automatic “screenshot quote tweet” feature? Because that will become the standard for people now.

I know, there are many things wrong with this joke, but I am starting to suspect that Europeans’ inability to invent anything is self-reinforcing by now. People don’t try because they know they aren’t able to.
