about 3/4ths of the way through the blacktongue thief and i really really appreciate christopher buehlman's ability to write ensemble-ish casts and the worldbuilding for this story. i think this is in second place behind between two fires for my favorite works of his.

i'm personally ambivalent towards the inclusion of trigger lists in novels, but i feel like the recent trend of authors printing A LINK to their trigger warnings completely undermines the entire point of having them in the first place.
