Vox refers to the glass as "angelic metal" which I can only assume is just an issue with the script being done before the design was made, and then never updated. But it makes even less sense why he wouldn't be able to shatter glass. He can breathe fire😭

This is exactly why we should have seen it on screen, instead of being left wondering why Lucifer just got trapped in a jar and immediately gave up for the last 2 episodes of the season 😭 he needed to at least try. But it felt like they were afraid to even try to explain it bc it makes no sense lol

I wasn't actually sure but this is what the wiki says. Bc they arent "weapons" per se, the restraints seem more akin to angelic rope that was used to Stolas in HB. But that's used to suppress demonic power, not angelic power, which Lucifer has for days. He should absolutely be able to easily escape

Instead all they say is that it's angelic metal. Which, OK, first of all, it's glass. But second, angelic steel ISN'T kryptonite, and it ISN'T unbreakable by angels. They're just vulnerable to getting stabbed by it. Zero reason why Lucifer should be stuck in there. HE DOESN'T EVEN TRY TO ESCAPE😭
