Back in Michigan after a fantastic @michiganpublic.bsky.social trip to Ireland 🇮🇪 with a group of our loyal listeners. Just awesome to take in so much history and culture.

I’ll be back on the air to host Morning Edition on Friday!

So great meeting @michiganpublic.bsky.social listeners at the Ann Arbor Art Fair last night! We’ve got a loyal, smart, thoughtful audience. Visit our booth near the corner of Liberty and 5th today. Station staff will be there until this evening! Pick up some Michigan Public / NPR gear!

From the unusual damage files: Saw this Jeep in a grocery store parking lot. The rest of the vehicle was pristine.

Nike Jumpman? Some sort of Squid Game mask? Mercedes-Benz logo? A mouth from an alien horror movie?

Ann Arbor's Community High School has unveiled a historical marker honoring the history of the Jones School - a predominantly Black elementary school that was on the current CHS site until 1965. Jones alumni attended the ceremony. I'll have more on @michigan_public later in May.

Went on a family woods walk in Ann Arbor after dinner and made our first tick discovery of the year when we got home. No bites, but ’tis the season to starting checking!

Congrats to the students and families celebrating graduations around the state this weekend. For several years, I’ve been lucky to announce the graduates’ names at the @umich.edu School of Kinesiology commencement at Hill Auditorium. The ceremony was Thurs. As always, a fun, inspiring afternoon. 🎓

We spent a couple of nights back in MA during our annual spring New England road trip last month. The Granary Burying Ground is one of my favorite Boston destinations. So much American history in such a small space.
